Abubakar

The web developer behind IPPT Scores — and the person who checked every cell of its scoring tables.

Who he is

Abubakar is a web developer and the founder, publisher and editor of IPPT Scores. He built the site in October 2026 after finding that most online IPPT calculators estimate scores with formulas — and that some of those estimates were wrong by more than 10 points, enough to turn a Gold into a Silver or a pass into a fail.

What he does here

Everything on this site passes through one pair of hands: building and maintaining the calculators, entering and verifying the scoring data, writing the guides, and answering correction reports. There is no content team and no outsourced writing — if a figure is wrong, there is exactly one person responsible for fixing it, and the editorial policy explains how corrections are handled.

His accuracy standard

The scoring tables were entered completely — every push-up and sit-up count from 0 to 60, and every 2.4km run band in 10-second steps — then cross-checked between two independent publishers of the CMPB chart and validated against 16 published anchor examples, with monotonicity checks on every table. Where a figure cannot be verified to that standard, the site says so openly instead of guessing: the servicewomen's tables are the standing example, and no female calculator is offered until they can be verified the same way. The full method is on the methodology page.
